Quadrennial Project
The current International Quadrennial Project 2007-2011 - PROJECT SIERRA: A FAMILY AND A FUTURE
In each quadrennium, Soroptimists commit themselves to a project which will be supported by all clubs throughout the world for the next four years. Such projects are carried out in conjunction with one of the UN agencies or another NGO which has the infrastructure in place to assist local Soroptimists to oversee the project. Federations take it in turn to propose a suitable project for adoption and acceptance at the International Convention.
Our new Quadrennial Project, Project SIerra: a Family and a Future, project will support women caring for children in extreme poverty and provide a caring secure family home for children who are alone or at risk of abandonment.

At the Conference of Clubs held biennially, delegates may vote to support a specific Federation Project in the coming two years. Clubs and/or regions may submit proposals. These are scrutinised by members of the Programme of Service Committeee and selected proposals are put to the vote.
