Celebrating the idea that "you can't choose your relatives...but you can choose your friends!", .the first Sunday in August was proclaimed National Friendship Day by the U.S. Congress in 1935.
Today, Friendship Day remains a tradition observed in many countries and cultures around the world. This year, World Friendship Day will be celebrated on August 6, 2006. |
