Profile of Speaker:
Mr K. Balasupramaniam
K. Balasupramaniam is the founder of the Malaysian Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association (MVFRA). He obtained his basic knowledge in Fire & Rescue in the Academy of Fire & Rescue in Kuala Kubu Baru and was a member of the Malaysia Fire & Rescue Cadet Corps. He was awarded the highest award of the Fire & Rescue Department, the Pingat Ketua Pengarah Bomba (Honorary title of PKPB) for his contribution to the country in the area of safety and rescue. He is the winner of the “Malaysian Humanitarian Award 2005” under the category of Humanitarian & Voluntary Service.

Profile of Speaker:
Dr Chiam Heng Keng
Dr. Chiam was formerly the Professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Educational Psychology, Universiti Malaya and she held this Chair for more than 13 years. A well-known authority on child and adolescent psychology and early childhood education, she has authored several books and numerous articles in her field of specialisation, social issues and education and is a columnist for the Sunday Star. She serves on numerous committees including the National Council on the Protection of Children, the National Population and Family Development Board, the National Children's Council of Advisors and Consultants of the Ministry of National Unity and Social Development. She is also a Commissioner of Suhakam
